This is a restaurant with a very Nordic style. The fish there is delicious. Paired with potatoes, it is the traditional lunch for the locals. The potatoes are very soft and have skins. I put some salad dressing on them and it tasted better.

We booked a table a week in advance. It&#39;s a pretty good Michelin restaurant. The dishes are all high-end. They look good, but they may not be delicious, and the portions are only enough for a girl.

My husband and I were greeted at the door, and as we walked down the street it opened and they took our coats to our table. We are Canadian so I didn&#39;t think to let them know beforehand that I don&#39;t eat fish or seafood, and we told them when we arrived. No problem. The chef made me something special that wasn&#39;t on the menu. The wine pairing was one of the best I&#39;ve ever experienced. It was like the wine was the sauce for the food - not just a drink on the side to compliment the food. It was amazing. They are so good! We have friends in Stockholm who we plan to visit soon. I have organized a trip to Copenhagen so that we can go back to Koefoed. We were there in April 2015.

We wanted to love this place. We ordered the pork (pie) and the second plate was pork slices which was basically a thick bacon sauce (can&#39;t remember the name). We found it quite salty and very very heavy (especially the bacon plate). In hindsight we wish we had ordered something other than pork. Service was good, prices fair and the atmosphere was casual yet chic. I would return to this restaurant but I would be more careful about what I order. Another street food meal we enjoyed was at the Co&oslash;en&#39; Street Food Warehouse (7 min walk across 2 pedestrian bridges from the famous Nyhaven waterfront, visible from Nyhaven) which is a local scene consisting of about 50 kitchens and shared tables, excellent food of all types, great fun to sample. Will try Byborders again but won&#39;t go for anything too heavy.
